Booking

Bookings are made subject to the Riad’s availability and the conditions of the selected rate.

The guest undertakes to provide the accurate and complete information required for the booking.

The booking becomes firm after confirmation by the Riad and, where applicable, after receipt of the requested payment or deposit.

A confirmation email is sent to the guest, setting out in particular the stay dates, the room or suite booked, the number of guests, the price and the conditions applicable to the selected rate.

Rates

Rates are stated in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), unless otherwise indicated.

The applicable price is the price stated at the time of booking and confirmed by the Riad.

Rates and any promotions are subject to the conditions specified at the time of booking.

Additional services not included in the room price are charged separately.

The tourist tax of 27.00 MAD per person per night is stated at the time of booking and paid in accordance with the arrangements specified by the Riad.

Payment conditions

Payment arrangements are specified at the time of booking.

Depending on the selected rate, the Riad may request:

• a bank guarantee;
• a deposit;
• full or partial prepayment;
• or payment for the stay on arrival.

Where a deposit or prepayment is requested, the corresponding conditions are specified at the time of booking.

Cancellation conditions

Individual bookings – Flexible rate

Cancellation is free of charge up to 7 days before the arrival date.

For cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before arrival, 50% of the total stay amount will be charged.

For cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival, and in the event of a no-show, the total stay amount will be due.

High season and special periods

For certain periods of high demand, cancellation conditions may differ. The applicable conditions are stated at the time of booking and appear in the confirmation sent to the guest.

Non-refundable rate

Bookings at the non-refundable rate are payable in full at the time of booking.

This rate cannot be cancelled or refunded. Any applicable special condition is specified at the time of booking.

Group bookings

Specific conditions may apply to bookings of 5 rooms or more, or for 10 or more guests.

A deposit of 30% may be requested on booking confirmation. The balance is payable no later than 30 days before the arrival date.

The cancellation conditions applicable to groups are communicated to the guest at the time of booking.

Booking modifications

Any request to change dates or services is subject to the Riad’s availability and may result in a change of rate.

Any modification must be requested in writing and confirmed by the Riad.

Arrival and departure

Arrival and departure times are communicated to the guest at the time of booking or before arrival.

Departure is at 12:30 pm, unless otherwise agreed in advance with the Riad.

The Riad provides assistance 24 hours a day. From 6 pm, a French-, English- and Arabic-speaking night attendant continues the service until 8 am and remains available for guests’ requests.

Subject to the Riad’s conditions, luggage may be stored before arrival or after departure.

Stay and respect for the premises

The guest undertakes to respect the premises, furniture, equipment and tranquillity of the Riad, as well as other guests and staff.

Any deliberate damage or damage resulting from manifestly inappropriate behaviour may be charged to the guest in an amount corresponding to the loss incurred, within the limits of applicable regulations.

The Riad reserves the right to take necessary measures in the event of behaviour that compromises safety, tranquillity or respect for people and premises.

Outside visitors may only be received in rooms or other areas of the Riad under the conditions authorised by the establishment.

Identity documents and formalities

On arrival, an identity document may be requested in accordance with the administrative formalities applicable to tourist accommodation establishments in Morocco.

The guest undertakes to provide the information needed to fulfil these formalities.

Liability

The Riad makes every effort to ensure the quality and safety of the services offered.

However, it cannot be held liable for an event beyond its control or a force majeure event that prevents all or part of the service from being performed.

The Riad also cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the guest’s behaviour or failure to comply with the establishment’s instructions and rules.

Photographs and illustrations on the website are intended to present the Riad and its services. Minor differences may exist between photographs and reality, particularly due to maintenance, decoration or changes to equipment.

Complaints

Any complaint regarding a stay or service should be reported to the Riad as soon as possible, preferably during the stay, so that the establishment can seek a solution promptly.

Personal data

Personal data provided when making a booking or requesting information is used only to enable the Riad to manage the booking, stay, billing and guest requests, and to comply with its legal obligations.

The Riad undertakes to ensure the confidentiality and security of personal data in accordance with applicable Moroccan regulations, in particular Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

The guest has rights concerning their personal data under the conditions provided for by applicable regulations.

Where the website or booking services use external providers, the necessary data may be passed to them to process a booking or payment, in accordance with applicable rules.

Force majeure

The Riad cannot be held liable for a failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations resulting from an event beyond its control that meets the conditions of force majeure under applicable regulations.

Applicable law and dispute resolution

These Terms and Conditions are subject to Moroccan law, without prejudice to any mandatory provisions that may apply to the guest.

In the event of a difficulty or dispute, the guest and the Riad undertake to seek an amicable solution as a priority.

If no amicable agreement is reached, the dispute may be submitted to the competent courts in accordance with applicable regulations.

Changes to the terms and conditions

Riad Terra Bahia may amend these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to its services or regulations.

The version applicable to a booking is the version accepted by the guest at the time of booking.
